The film BORN GUILTY is a social spot for the US-American non-profit organization called INNOCENCE PROJECT. The organization was founded in 1992 and fights for the clarification of judicial errors. The Innocence Project's mission is to free the staggering number of innocent people who remain incarcerated, and to bring reform to the system responsible for their unjust imprisonment. Since their existence, they have already proven the innocence of more than 367 people who were wrongly convicted and had to serve long prison sentences until their rehabilitation. Huwe Burton is one of those people who have been able to regain their freedom through the Innocence Project. His case will be the subject of the spot to promote the work of the organization. For Huwe Burton, running was an outlet for dealing with pain in these difficult times and so he compares his life to a marathon. The film takes up this metaphor and tells of the long struggle for justice that especially African-American people have to fight in the USA until today.
