Silent drama about a middle aged man's retreat to the untamed and peaceful coast of Patagonia. After a troubled life as a travelling salesman, Marco Tucci (Alejandro Awada) makes a spiritual retreat to the beautiful and remote coast of Patagonia to go shark fishing. The journey takes him to the small town of Puerto Deseado, where we learn that Marco is in search of his daughter Ana, whom he has not seen for many years. Gone Fishing is a story of starting afresh. Little is said explicitly in this slow-paced drama, in which gestures and silence convey Marco's regrets, and where the turning point comes after an emotional and physical stranding at sea.
