Seul pour la première fois de sa vie, Yakari fera la rencontre magique avec Grand-Aigle, son animal totem, de qui il recevra une superbe plume et le don incroyable de parler aux animaux. Sa quête va l’entraîner très loin, jusqu’au territoire des terribles chasseurs à peaux de loup, pour vivre aux côtés de Petit-Tonnerre sa première grande aventure et trouver ensemble le chemin du retour ; un voyage à travers des paysages immenses qui scellera pour toujours l’amitié indéfectible le plus brave des papooses et un poney plus rapide que le vent.
