Hannes Hellmann

Hannes Hellmann was born at 1954 in Berlin. He finished humanistic gymnasium, studied at Freie Universität Berlin (Germanistik) and changed 1976 to Hochschule der Künste Berlin, FB: Darstellende Kunst, and finished 1979 with Diplom as an actor. From 1980 to 1994 he became a member of the international well known theater-company „Theater an der Ruhr“, founded and directed by the „theater-magician“ Dr. Roberto Ciulli. Showing their productions all over Germany, Europe and the world.
1994 - 1998 Hannes Hellmann was being engaged at „Thalia- Theater“ in Hamburg.
From this time on he started working freelance and shooting. Until now he participated in more than 160 national and international TV- and film-productions. As an example also in „La vita é bella“ (Roberto Benigni).

Hannes Hellmann is involved in contemporary music. He worked with several famos contemporary composers, ensembles and conductors. He loves John Cages work. He plays Double bass (Jazz), Guitar (classic) and sax (bad). Since 2006 he teaches at Hochschule für Musik und Theater, Internationale Filmschule Köln and other institutions.
