Viktor Butok

Ukrainian film director, screenwriter, producer, editing director.
From 2002 to 2007 he worked on the First National Channel in Ukraine.
Since 2007, he has worked in various projects as a freelance director, editor, screenwriter, producer, and motion designer.
In 2015, he made a short animation, IIF YOU DID NOT EXIST , which was shown at several local and international film festivals.
In the same year, Viktor Butok made his first low-budget short film, FLOWERS DANCING IN THE RAIN. The rights to show the film in America and Europe were acquired by Shorts TV.
In order to improve his professional level and introduce himself into the film industry, in 2016 Viktor is starting to study at the Ukrainian Film School for a directing course. During his studies, several more short films were filmed. The graduation film, WIFE WITH DISCOUNT , has become very popular on YouTube, and at the beginning of June 2022 it has almost 2.4 million views, 40,000 likes (93.9%), more than 3,000 comments and 78,000 reposts .
The next short film, HYPE, was awarded first places and Grand Prix at several local festivals. After that, Viktor was invited as a director by a well-known Ukrainian producer, Yuri Minzyanov, in the feature film DON JUAN FROM JASHKIV .
The film was shot, but the premiere was postponed due to the outbreak of war in Ukraine.
In April 2022, Viktor moves to Germany with his family.
