Stephanie Marin
Born in Munich, Stephanie Marin completed her training at the Bavarian Theatre Academy August Everding. Since graduating, she has worked as both an actress and singer on various stages.
At the Deutsches Theater Munich, she played the co-leading role of Maureen in Rent. She then took on her first leading role in a contemporary opera, President Jekyll, which premiered at the Amerika Haus Munich under the direction of Martina Veh.
In 2024, she was invited to the Bavarian Theatre Days with two productions: In the satire Slippery Slope (Almost-Musical), she plays Sky, a disgraced TikTok star facing accusations of cultural appropriation. In the contemporary chamber play The Tell-Tale Heart, she portrays a woman deeply marked by trauma, both through acting and singing. "The focal point is Stephanie Marin’s multifaceted, deeply moving performance." – Michael Dumler, Allgäuer Zeitung.
Beyond theater, she regularly works as a voice-over artist and studio singer, lending her voice to various productions. Notably, she provided the German dubbing for soul icon Patti LaBelle.
She is also active in film and television. In 2019, she played the female lead in the feature film Alle in einem Boot (All in One Boat) and regularly appears in TV productions such as Hubert ohne Staller, Himmel, Herrgott, Sakrament, and Die Rosenheim-Cops.
In 2025, she will be part of an art film project supported by the Munich Department of Culture, directed by Veronika Veit. She will also return to the stage with the musical reading Der kleine Rhythmus Mani by and with Magnus Dauner.
