    Brief synopsis

“Stalin’s Cola” tells the story of a mysterious soda developed by legendary Georgian juicemaker Mitrofan Lagidze on the order of Stalin in the early 1950's. In the so-called lemonade war Lagidze was supposed to create a soft drink better than Coca-Cola. With a typical Georgian sense of humor this film sets out on a quest for the formula of the Soviet super-soda. Based on real incidents, this film reveals how major events in world history might have been influenced by the tasty creations of a juice genius from Tbilisi.

The audience is taken onto a journey into Soviet history and gets to know unknown details of historic events and the local gossip as part of private news exchange in the USSR.

An unbelievable story which opens viewers' eyes on real life, hopes and dreams in the Soviet Union. A film, that raises the question, how the world would look like today, if the most popular soft drink would have not been mixed in Georgia USA, but Georgia, USSR?
