Italian-Canadian Ren goes on a beach vacation with her parents and younger sister, Siena. Her family doesn't know that the transwoman in her mid-twenties recently lost her job. Ren tries to cope with the resort, which caters to retirees, and her parents' lovingly arrogant ways, while her sister keeps them all on their toes with rebellious outbursts. Knowing that Ren will be even more dependent on her parents for support after the vacations, the vacation home seems to get tighter and tighter.
