Brief synopsis
After more than 61 happy years, Hannelore and Heinz have to leave their beloved three-room apartment with a heavy heart. Filmmaker Tim Klein uses the move of his grandparents as an opportunity to take an in-depth look at their life story. In particular, the eventful life of his grandfather comes more and more to the fore.
Whether as a submariner in the fiercely contested North Atlantic during the Second World War, or as a chauffeur for the Saar government in the emerging Europe of the post-war era - Grandpa Heinz has experienced quite a bit in the course of his 100-year life. And the tales of his exciting adventures have inspired grandson since childhood.
Grandpa's stories often have one thing in common: He is lucky. The chance coincidence of favorable circumstances is one of the few constants that run through Grandpa's life and his stories.
But what exactly is Grandpa's secret? On the verge of moving, his grandson has his stories told again. This time, however, he goes on the trail of luck.
