Odile Hautemulle is a charming adventuress who has sparkling energy, effervescent creativity, and a great sense of humor. She combines her profession with art, passion, and a spirit constantly renewed. She puts her soul into everything she does. She is a lovable personality with a majestic imagination and a wealth of sharing.
Born in Paris, Odile chose the seductive path of fashion at the age of 20 and began her apprenticeship in the workshops of fashion houses Balmain and Cerruti 1881.
Her sources of inspiration come from the theatrical world of Tadeusz Kantor, Fellini's films, and the enchantment of the circus.
Inspired by the history of contemporary clothing, Odile began her career as a movie costume designer in productions such as "Le bâtard de Dieu" by Christian Fechner, "La Reine Margot" by Patrice Chereau, "Peut-Être" by Cedric Klapish, "Pub” by Patrice Leconte, and the playful and extravagant world of Jean-Paul Goude’s advertising.
After her work in Paris, Odile moved to Berlin where she has lived for over fifteen years. She set up a sewing workshop for tailor-made projects and works with many Berlin cabarets, such as Chaméleon, and Palazzo. The Battle Royal fashion agency orders extra-dimensional creations from her.
Some of Odile’s latest interventions in the world of performance include Bob Wilson’s play at the Berlin Academy of Arts, and Jean-Paul Gaultier’s cabaret "The One" at the Friedrich Palast.
Discovery is Odile’s source of pleasure. Odile likes to embrace new ideas that captivate her, and she takes the risk of working on unique products. She likes to be inspired by customs, wants to win people over, and to pass on her knowledge and experience. Currently, she is developing "Electro Couture", clothing that integrates LEDs and fiberglass optics.
Odile is also a teacher and organizes workshops to train younger generations. Her warmth and fondness for others leads her to friendships all over the world. She feels comfortable everywhere and always respects differences.
