Brief synopsis
Nobelhart&Schmutzig: A Portrait of a Restaurant
Nobelhart und Schmutzig is a Michelin Starred restaurant in Berlin. Their mandate is to use ingredients solely produced in Berlin and the surrounding area. Their strict philosophy has created a focused and specific menu that references the local produce, producers, weather and seasons on a daily changing basis. This combined with a relaxed restaurant experience with a strong, young Berlin vibe has lead to N&S to be recognised as one of the leading restaurants in the vocally local movement.
This film was made to highlight the close relationship N&S has with its Berlin producers, local produce and consequently the surrounding landscape and environment. We wanted to create a visual dialogue between the natural environment, the people, the processes, and the food that is created from it.
