About Nirit Sommerfeld
Studied acting at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, graduating in 1984. First leading female role in MALAMBO (directed by Milan Dor), 1983. Beginning years at the municipal theater Krefeld / Mönchen-Gladbach from '84 - '87, then lead role in DIE WEISSEN ZWERGE (directed by Dirk Schäfer / Kleines Fernsehspiel) in 1988.
Since then freelance in theater, film and television productions; since 1999 performing as singer in original stage programs with music, in which I perform with my band ORCHESTER SHLOMO GEISTREICH (formerly KLEZMORIM).
Presenter and author of numerous articles, blogs, interviews and a novel.
Married, two adult daughters.
