    About Maja Chiara Faber

    Maja Chiara Faber’s work navigates explorations of frequencies, ethnography, memory, and fiction. Sound is her collaborator, theme and method at the same time. Her own practice focuses on sound explorations, video experimentation, and building immersive Audio-Visual installations. She gained two MFAs: in Fine Arts and in Film and New Media Theory. She is a founder and director of Lava Avantgarde Film Festival, which programmed video and sound artists. The festival gathered many voices of international queer community. She exhibited in major cultural institutions like MoMA, Martin-Gropius-Bau, Zachęta, Unsound, Het HEM. Her works and interviews were published among others in i-D Magazine, Crack Magazine, Metropolis M, dBs Insider, Magazyn SZUM.
