Brief synopsis

Alternative concepts of energy could revolutionize automobile industry and support new ways of mobility. What if we could drive cars that produce less pollutants whilst less fuel consumption? What if you could build the needed engines right now?
In Empfingen, the engine building factory MWI Microwave Ignition AG has developed an engine that records exactly that problem. The developer and company’s founder Armin Gallatz explains: „This is he mobility of the future: More clean, efficient and sustainable. The technology: Micro Wave Ignition, to say MWI. Available yet, possible to be integrated in every car, in every engine.
The “Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (BDU) has supported the project. Dr.- Ing. Jörg R. Lefèvre is the manager of the advancement training program of the DBU which concerns eco- and health-friendly techniques and products. Chairman Rezzo Schlauch supports the AWI as well – since 10 years – and gets a word in the interviews, so does the dual university of Baden-Württemberg. It is independent of big concerns and cooperates out of belief with medium-sized and innovative research projects like the MWI AG.

Since 12 years, Armin Gallatz fights together with his brother Volker Gallatz for the project. In 2006, the two visionarys won the Cyber One Hightech Award. “Visions are the sum of their changes. We need visions not to let anything be like it is.” The big benefit of the MWI-Technology: It is suitable for all kinds of motor vehicles (?). As an engine in shipping air traffic and abnormal load. The MWI- firing system enables the technical benefits of less pollutants and less fuel consumption everywhere.

“The future of mobility” is the essential tag and title of the movie. An important contribution to the discourse of automobile industry in connection with pollutant emission and environmental protection. Arman Gallatz as the manager leads us through the corporate video, as a develober and company’s founder, he is the most important man. To that, he describes the technologies of MWI, which are explained visual by animations in the corporate video. Brother Volker Gallatz is the technician, the Gyro Gearloose at the engine. As a director and cameraman it seemed very important to me to convey the authenticity of the brothers Gallatz, who are standing behind the development – their challenge and their enthusiasm. For this, it’s not just about Armin and Volker Gallatz as entrepreneurs but as humans.
