Lena Conrad (she/her) has been a permanent ensemble member of Neue Bühne Senftenberg as an actor* since the 2019/20 season.
She studied acting at the Zurich University of the Arts in Zurich and completed her master's degree there in 2019.
At the same time, she trained the acting ensemble at the Lucerne Theater in voice and speech as a speech teacher*.
In her acting studies, she performed as Karoline from Kasimir und Karoline directed by Christoph Frick at the Theater der Künste Zurich.
Previously, she studied speech training and communication pedagogy at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart. After receiving her bachelor's degree, she successfully completed her master's degree in applied rhetoric there in 2016.
She is particularly interested in international cooperation. This has already accompanied her in the past, when she completed an internship at the headquarters of the German Foreign Office in Berlin in Strategic Communications or when she was allowed to participate in international work at NYU Tisch in New York and the Art Academy in Viljandi in Estonia, among others, during her acting studies. At Neue Bühne Senftenberg, she performs in the Borderlands - identity, diversity, community collaborations with Teatr Lesi in Lviv, Ukraine, funded by the German Federal Cultural Foundation.
In addition to her work on stage, she has been working as a voiceover artist for Arte, SWR, Deutschlandradio, and as a dubbing artist since 2014. She cooperates with studios in Munich, Berlin, Stuttgart and Zurich. Since 2020 she has her own studio and speaks for clients such as BMW, but also volunteers for the Amnesty Journal.
Currently she can be heard as a voice for ARTE documentaries, a series on Disney+ and on TV in the ARD series Beforeigners.
Lena Conrad has worked at Neue Bühne Senftenberg with directors* including Alice Asper, André Erlen, Nora Bussenius, Maximilan Pellert, Nicola Bremer, Samia Chancrin, Tilo Esche and Manuel Soubeyrand.
