    Brief synopsis

Portugal is hit by one of the most devastating forest fires in its history as the movie’s director is there on vacation. She must flee the flames with her family from the small village Ferraria. Despite the danger, the villagers decide to stay to fight for their homes. They all survive. But 66 people die elsewhere, shocking the Nation.
Like many other villages, Ferraria is surrounded by extremely flammable eucalyptus forests, planted for the booming paper industry. The 37 villagers initiate a project that shall bring them closer together as a community while defending themselves from the consequences of globalization and climate change.
