About Klaus Charbonnier
Born in Cologne, Germany, BA in German Literature, Swarthmore College, USA. 1990 apprentice at former GDR documentary film studios, Berlin. 1993 debut with pilot for documentary series “Fremde Kinder” (ZDF/3sat). 2003 degree in Film & TV directing at HFF “Konrad Wolf”, Potsdam Babelsberg. 2005 – 2007 member of film selection committee at European Documentary Film Festival “dokumentART”, Neubrandenburg/Szczecin. 2009 festival director of the 18th dokumentART edition in Neubrandenburg. Freelance author and director since 1993, creative producer since 2015. Resident in Berlin.
