Education | Kirsten Burger, born 1975, is an author, theater director, film maker, performer and actress. Her work is always focused on socially critical and socially relevant issues. Her principle of operation is interdisciplinary and across all genres, taking position between theater, film, literature, dance, architecture, music and public space. Kirsten Burger studied liberal arts, graphic arts and interdisciplinary studies in Hamburg and Vienna. She finished her studies in stage dancing and acting in Berlin. She lives in Berlin, together with her partner and here kids. In Burgers productions the overlap of reality and fiction plays an important role. She works with professional actors, acrobats and dancers as well as with disabled, refugees, unemployed, addicts, teenagers and people of different cultures.
