Creating new worlds, forming creatures in tiny or giant dimensions – this is sculptor Jan Ptassek’s job.
Born in Karlsruhe, he set up a lively little workshop in the media city Cologne.
Following positions at the Bonn Opera and as a freelance sculptor in Düsseldorf, he was in charge of film projects in Munich, Berlin, Hamburg and lived for a period of time in Los Angeles, before he started out on his own in his atelier in the Cologne district of Ehrenfeld in 2004. Ever since then, he has received project enquiries from film producers, architects, advertising agencies, museums and universities.
