Thomas - Michael Peter Fischer - (45) an average German office worker suffers from depression.
He feels isolated from society, seems to get lost in it and sometimes suffers from the fact that he hasn't found himself yet.
He finds no fulfilment in his job, his boss does not appreciate his consistently good work at all. In his relationship the fire has long since died out,
it only seems to work - more or less.
He hardly sees his friends anymore, with all of them it is all about prestige, who has the most expensive car, the biggest house or the most extravagant holiday.
Influenced by his childhood, which was carefree, but not as free as one would wish for a child, and which was subject to social conventions, he has lost himself over the years
and eventually isolates himself from society.
Now he tries to find a way out of his darkness and to lead a happy and self-determined life. Inwardly he hopes that society and he himself will acknowledge him/her and above all recognize him/her.
