In her intimate portrait, author and director Fitore Muzaqi accompanies an extraordinary couple who have been fully committed to art for over 20 years: Bernd (64), the relentless sand artist, and his wife Hella (56), "mental sparring partner" and first critic of his works.
The film observes the lives of the protagonists over three years, illuminating their symbiotic and highly complex relationship. Bernd finds it increasingly difficult to create his extraordinary art, because since a stroke his left side of his body is paralysed. Hella must therefore increasingly take on the role of a mental, but also physical supporter. How do they manage to fulfil their biggest dream - a sculpture park on 7000 sqm2, which is supposed to be a place of inspiration and freedom especially for people in the countryside?
