Polish drama written and directed by Wojciech Smarzowski. The film follows Zosia Glowacka (Michalina Labacz), a young Polish girl left devastated by her father's decision to force her to leave behind her Ukrainian lover Petro (Wasyl Wasylik) and marry rich widower Skiba (Arkadiusz Jakubik). When Skiba is then forced to join up with the Polish army following the outbreak of World War II, Zosia is once again forced to fend for herself as tensions continue to rise between local Jews, Poles and Ukrainians, resulting in violent clashes which claim the lives of many of those around her.
