Florens Huhn

Florens Huhn, born in 1989 in Hamburg, studied German language and literature with a focus on media, as well as religious studies and later screenwriting in their hometown. During their time as a student they worked for several years as a narrative designer and author for the computer games company Mooneye Studios. The graduation film "I Am", for which they wrote the screenplay, premiered in 2021 at the Max Ophüls Preis film festival in competition and became finalist at the Student Academy Awards 2021. Florens Huhn is now working as a freelance screenwriter in Hamburg. In their screenplays they like to deal with forms and structures of social power which leave their mark on people. They are always concerned with questioning social norms and moral concepts, with gender roles in the tense relationship with identity, with queerness and transcultural encounters.
