Brief synopsis
Lily Garson is unhappily married. Her husband Richard Garson is rich and socially respected, but unfortunately also constrictingly jealous and fearsomely brutal. So Lily leaves her husband. Shortly after, she is happily in the arms of another. Now everything could be fine, but Peter Parton, Lily's lover, is run over by an omnibus immediately after Lily arrives at his home. Lily doesn't know what to do, but there seems to be only one way out of the tricky situation: quickly return to her husband Richard, destroy all traces and above all: make it in time for dinner at eight - time is running out. But is it really the right decision?
