Djibril (Max-Edouard Balthazard), nicknamed Djib, is a 13-year-old black teenager. He is a rebel of the 90s. He has a strange philosophy that he has gone so far as to put above his bed:
A Negro must never be called a nigger by anyone but a Negro. It's the worst kind of insult."
The young boy lives with his grandmother (Laurentine Milebo) whom he insults copiously, because he and education do not mix.
The intrepid rascal lacks love on every level. He has fallen for a Métis girl his own age, Josephine (Jessica Hammoudi), whom he wants to pay for a great vacation. So he has to rack his brains to find the necessary money.
However, things are not going as planned.
