For twelve-year-old Frida, darkness is especially pleasant because she doesn't have to see so much. Sometimes her eyes even hurt from all the light. Frida is blind and can only see outlines, shadows and colours, but when she dreams, the blurred images of the day come into focus. Precisely because she can't see as much as others, she perceives the world that surrounds her very differently. And so she sees things that remain hidden from others.
