The firm Aerialservices is an Italian ENAC certified UAV
operator. With a strong passion
and belief in the development of
the (then) new filming language,
it has been involved in the sector
since 2008, one of the three first
operators authorized to fly in
Italy newly born Italian sector regulations. Since then more than
a dozen different certifications have been obtained, the last one

Sight (BVLOS) in Specific category SORA-analisys based Operations.
Based in North East Italy, the company can
count on various crews and flying solutions
dedicated to advertising, Sport and TV video
shooting, but also for technically oriented
data collection. The crew are trained
internally as the company is providing training services to other
companies and pilots schools. Commercially available solutions
apart, the company makes extensive use of in-house developed UAS,
that are commercialized under the trade name Dronefactory
(www.dronefactory.it)
Commercial DJI solutions are Phantom 4
Pro, Mavic 2 PRO, Inspire 3 with X9 camera and Inspire2 with both
X5S or X7 Cameras with full set of
lenses and CDNG and prores licenses.
Heavy lifter area, quad and Okto, can
carry basically any camera up to 10
Kgs of lens+ cam weight.
Newest added solutions are in the FPV (First Person View) area:
ducted 3” gopro-carrying micro UAS, 5” GP9 sporty UAS and
cinelifter FPV carrying Blackmagic Pocket cameras.
The shooting time depends on
each solution, fly-times range
from 12 to 45 minutes per
flight. A crew travels with
many sets of batteries and the
trucks are prepared for power
on-field recharge if a main supply is not available in the
shooting area.
A crew, if not differently required and specified, consist of two
persons: a pilot and a camera operator. For cinema cameras like
Arri, Red and similar, if not provided by the production a camera
assistant will be required. The pilot provides control over the
flight path and movements of the UAV, whilst the camera
operator has full control of the camera movements along all 3 axis
using high quality brushless
motors gimbals, The hd video
downlink is shared via Sdi to
the director’s monitor as per
video assist indications.
A crew always travels with a
main solution and a backup, to
be agreed with the customer.
Data is saved on SD, microSD
cards, SSD or Cfast cards and is given to the customer at the end
of the shooting day. The crew always has a computer with them and
is able to transfer the data on the final digital support, which
must be provided by the customer. Free 30 days safety footage
backup service can be provided on request.
The crews can speak fluently English, Crew A also speaks Spanish and
french.
The crew is entirely dedicated and trained to intercept and
deliver the requests of the production and Director with a
professional approach to the customer requirements.
