About Cassis Birgit Staudt
Originally from Germany Cassis B Staudt studied music at the Hamburg State University and at Juilliard. Working for director Jim Jarmusch brought her to New York. She was one of the producers of the Iggy Pop and Tom Waits segment of 'Coffee and Cigarettes’ which won at the Cannes International Film Festival. In 2004 one of her ideas lead to the Oscar nominated film 'Ferry Tales’ with a specially composed theme song by Cassis B called 'Girl Time’. Today she mostly writes music for movies. Her first film music symphony was performed live by an orchestra in Berlin.
