About Ahmed El Lozy

Ahmed El Lozy was born in Cairo to an Egyptian-Syrian family. At 19, he was hired as 2nd Assistant Director on Yousry Nasrallah's Aquarium. In the following years, he worked on projects with directors such as Mariam Abou Ouf and Ahmad Abdalla.

However, It was while filming the Tahrir riots of winter 2011-2012 that he decided to become a cameraman and applied for the filmmaking program at the London Film School.

After a few years as a 2nd AC on fiction projects, he switched to steadicam thanks to the 2-week workshop at Planning Camera in Paris in 2019.
Today, Ahmed is a certified steadicam operator with a complete steadicam kit.
He is based in both Paris and Strasbourg
