Lucy is in her mid-20s and loves life. At least the one she has chosen to live: always looking forward and without a thought for her past.
When she meets her new neighbour Michelle, they immediately like each other, almost as if they have an inner connection. A friendship develops that, at least for Lucy, offers a prospect of flirtation.
But Michelle's intentions are different. Her appearance turns out to be a long-delayed confrontation of Lucy with her tragic past, which she has tried to suppress for the last 20 years.
In Spite of All the Danger deals with the question of whether one's traumas really only affect oneself, or whether confronting them also has an impact on fellow human beings who need to be protected.
