After an autumn storm, a skeletonized corpse is found under an uprooted oak tree. As Borowski quickly suspects, it is the remains of his first girlfriend Susanne. When Borowski was 16, he had wanted to hitchhike with her to the legendary Jimi Hendrix performance on Fehmarn, but after an argument she disappeared without a trace. What was then a gloomy suspicion, which he restlessly tried to clear up, is suddenly a bitter certainty when forensic scientist Dr. Kroll (Anja Antonowicz) clearly identifies the body. More determined than ever, and without consulting his colleagues, Borowski pursues the unexpected chance he has to catch the perpetrator after all these years. When Mila Sahin sees through this, she is shaken by the tragic fate of her colleague and tries to cover for him for the time being. But Borowski's constant going it alone finally forces her to involve her superior, Schladitz (Thomas Kügel). He then withdraws Borowski from the case ...
