Sedimente

SEDIMENTE follows the traces of a family and uncovers the entanglements of two dictatorships layer by layer. The starting point is the filmmaker's conversations with her grandfather, who overcomes silence for fear of losing his memory.
The film embarks on a journey through different layers of time and sheds light on several epochs of German history - National Socialism, the GDR and the reunification period right up to the present day. "How did we become what we are today?". A film about remembering, forgetting and personal responsibility in a dictatorship.
