Ισμήνη Δασκαρόλη

Ismene Daskarolis is a director, screenwriter and sales agent. Her career in sales began at Berlin - based world sales company, Pluto Film, where she specialised in acquisitions and marketing. She was named "Future Leader” by Screen Daily in their 2021 Cannes issue and was featured as "Scriptwriter of the Month" in First Films First's "Meet the Scriptwriters" series, with the support of the Goethe Institute. Through the years she has worked as a script doctor and held masterclasses on scriptwriting. Her personal film projects have been developed at Torino Film Lab Extended and the Mediterranean Film Institute. In 2021 she was appointed as a member of the jury for the Greek Film Centre’s annual funding program.
Her films have been screened and gained distinctions in international film festivals across the globe, such as PÖFF Tallinn Black Nights FF, Jaipur IFF, Athens IFF and others. She is an alumni of the Locarno Thessaloniki Industry Academy, the Reykjavik Talent Lab of RIFF and the Baltic Short Pitching Forum.
