    Kurzinhalt

    „A Road to Gandhi“ tells the life story of Gandhi’s German follower Herbert Fischer. In 1936, the then 22 year old flees fascist Germany, determined to visit Mahatma Gandhi. As he cannot afford the passage on a ship, he starts walking to India. Eventually he manages to get a bicycle, then a ticket for the last part of the journey. It is the inspiring example of a human being who simply followed his heart and ended up becoming the first GDR-Ambassador to India.
