Auf einer Landstraße im Allgäu stößt die junge Bayerin Johanna mit ihrem Rad mit der afrikanischen Asylbewerberin Lucille zusammen. Da das Rad kaputt ist, müssen die zwei den Weg nun gemeinsam fortführen. Langsam kommen sie sich trotz der sprachlich-kulturellen Barriere näher. Doch der Schein der Heimatidylle trügt...

A young Bavarian on a bicycle collides with a Congolese refugee amidst of an Alpine arcadia. The bike is broken and they are forced to continue their paths together. But they soon learn that the idyllic German landscape shall not offer a home for everyone.
