The Doldrums

Spencer is a writer/director who has managed to receive considerable critical acclaim. However, it has been several years since his last big
project and he is struggling to develop something new. This is caused largely by the fact that his imaginary characters from the last film,
‘Francois, Helene et Vous’ are still very much alive in his head. His girlfriend, Rodney, despite being in love, has finally decided to leave him
and let him sort himself out. Spencer doesn’t see it this way and her departure pushes him even further into his resolutely sparse imagination.
Francois and Helene enjoy Spencer’s condition, although after failing to convince him to make a sequel they decide to do something nice."
