Actor/presenter Ronald Top graduated in 1995 from the Maastricht Drama Academy. He joined the theatre group Nova Zembla in Antwerp Belgium for three years. Ronald performed in plays by writers such as Shakespeare, Beckett, Von Mayenberg, Topor, Camus and Karst Woudstra, in Belgium, but also for the National Theatre in The Hague, and for several other theatre groups in Holland. In 2020 he joined theatre group Punch, dedicated to stage new Dutch plays.
He became a familiar face in Holland through series, films and ads, such as price winning productions like Judas, the Surprise and the Downfall of Aantjes.
Ronald hosted several documentary series for Discovery Channel such as Industrial Revelations Europe, Legend Detectives and Inventing History. The series are being viewed by millions of people in more than130 countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the United States. He wrote and directed his documentary The Final Battle, which aired on the BBC.
Six years ago Ronald starred in a long running, massively popular commercial campaign for the Dutch beer Grolsch, that made him a household name in the UK. The campaign ran for 6 years. Ronald voiced a great number of cartoons, commercials and corporate films in his home country Holland. Recent work includes four seasons of the international Nickelodeon series Hunter Street.
