One day, Ion, a 75-year-old Romanian man, accidentally receives a Medal of Honor for some “heroic” actions back in WWΙΙ, times he barely remembers. The medal forces Ion to reconsider his whole life. Maybe he hasn’t always been a loser after all. Maybe his life has meaning. As part of the 50-year anniversary of WWII, Ion is invited to a dinner with Romania’s President. He is suddenly presented with the opportunity of a lifetime: he can help the apartment block he lives in to solve the problems they’re havingwith the heating system and also prove to his wife Nina that he isn’t a nobody. Ion’s luck unexpectedly changes, when he receives a letter from the Ministry of Defense saying that the awarding of the medal was an error and that he should return it. He now desperately tries to find evidence of his inexistent heroic actions...
