The documentary presents the Wroclaw punk scene from the late 70s to the present day.
In the 70's and 80's Wroclaw is becoming one of the most important centers of the new, independent music scene in Poland. This is a wider phenomenon - probably the biggest development and bloom of Polish rock music. "For Being Alive" is a story about the rebellion of young people, their everyday life and the search for their place in the often absurd reality. It reminds of forgotten bands and charismatic musicians. It is also an attempt to answer the question, what actually was and is this Punk?
