Correspondent - Justice: A Greek tragedy

  • Correspondent - The right to Justice (Arbeitstitel)
Doku (Reihe) | 2001

    Kurzinhalt

Heather Saunders' husband was killed in Greece two years ago by the terrorist group November 17. N17 have been killing for a quarter of a century and no one, until a recent breakthrough, had been caught. Edward Stourton travelled to Greece last year for Correspondent to follow Heather's fight for justice.
The breakthrough Heather Saunders worked for, came fifteen months after Correspondent made this film.

After a bomber blew himself up in Piraeus, Savvos Xiros was questioned under new anti-terrorism laws. Safe houses were raided and ten suspected members of N17 detained, including its leader and the suspected killer of Brigadier Saunders.

Twenty-seven years after N17 first struck, Greece has finally answered the question about its commitment to fighting terrorism.
