Schlesisches Tor in the Berlin district of Kreuzberg is one of the most lively places in the city. The area is full of shops, snack bars, restaurants and clubs. It is also home to the above-ground subway station of the same name, which is the last stop line U1 makes in Kreuzberg before it crosses the Oberbaumbruecke into the eastern part of the city. Just behind the bridge used to be the Wall.
